What A Time It Was...
What A Time We Had

To think that after 37 years, a group of determined people came together to create a reunion for a junior high school class is rather extraordinary. That it actually came off was glorious and wondrous.

The Class of '62 at John Burroughs Junior High was a remarkable group of people brought together during a special time. The reunion was a symbol of the dreams and memories of our youth revisited in a special world that night. The past and present became the same as we embraced each other and took joy in rediscovering a familiar face, a familiar feeling.

For us, the Committee, the reunion was the culmination of a desire (and many meetings), to give life to what had been the idea of two classmates. Our sincere thanks go to James Ellroy and Steve Horvitz for being the prime movers in helping the reunion become a reality.

A special note of gratitude goes to Bill Wallen for designing and producing our invitations and this memory book with such class and good taste.

And lastly, thanks to you, our classmates, for sharing in an incredible weekend of memories of the way we were.

Sol Weisel, on behalf of the Reunion Committee
