Total eclipse of the sun - August 11, 1999

At Horezu Monastery, Wallachia, Romania, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The monestary was founded in 1690 by prince Constantin Brancoveanu. About a hundred people from many countries gathered on the lawn to watch the eclipse. The audible response to totality transcended linguistic differences and was shared and understood by all.
