Global Concentration of Wealth
According to the United Nations Human
Development Report, the wealth of the 358 richest people in
the world is greater than that of the poorest 2.3 billion. "The
world is in a phase of accelerated polarization...the differences
in income between the industrialized and developing countries
tripled between 1960 and 1993..."
